Suitcase is packed. Just received the information that our flight could be cancelled tomorrow because of the volcano in Iceland. We will know more tomorrow. I'll post pictures from the place we're going to. Hopefully we'll have a good internet connection there. See you!

Koffer ist gepackt. Soeben haben wir die Information erhalten, dass unser Flug eventuell gestrichen sein könnte wegen dem Vulkan in Island. Morgen wissen wir mehr. Ich werde Euch Bilder von unserem Aufenthaltsort schicken. Hoffentlich haben wir dort eine gute Internetverbindung. Bis bald!

For years (!!) I've been looking for the right shoes to my long elegant dress. It is pink colored and for me it was impossible to find the right shape and color of shoe to combine to this dress. I gave up my search as there were no instances for wearing it. Until I got an invitation to one of my best friend's wedding. I knew straight away I'm gonna wear my pink elegant dress. Her wedding is in July, still enough time...but I started early enough searching as I knew it could take me weeks until I've found the perfect shoe. I was distressed after I checked all existing online shops all over the world. Too dark, too light, too drama queen, too lady-like, too aggressive, too expensive, look cheap, too closed, too open, too wild, too simple...And then, suddenly, unexpectedly, I saw them. These Camilla Skovgaard heels. Grey/nude color which goes perfect with pink, still elegant, a touch of aggressivity and the shape, the plateau, the heel and the studs - just perfect. I fell in love immediately. I came home and told Steffen another time how difficult it is to find the perfect shoes to my pink dress. He said: 'I'm gonna show you the ones I'd prefer.' And he came up with these Camilla Skovgaard sandals. I was stunned. 

Jahrelang (!!) war ich auf der Suche nach dem perfekten Paar Schuhe zum langen eleganten Kleid. Es ist pink und es schien unmöglich zu sein, den richtigen Schuh mit der richtigen Form und Farbe dazu zu finden. Ich gab meine Suche auf, schließlich stand auch kein Anlass an, um mein Kleid auszuführen. Bis ich die Einladung zur Hochzeit einer meiner besten Freundin bekommen habe. Ich wusste sofort, dass ich mein pinkes Kleid anziehen würde. Ihre Hochzeit ist erst im Juli, also noch genug Zeit...trotzdem begann ich rechtzeitig mit meiner Suche, da ich wusste, es könnte Wochen dauern, bis ich den perfekten Schuh dazu gefunden habe. Ich war verzweifelt, nachdem ich alle Online Shops der gesamten Welt durchforstet hatte. Zu dunkel, zu hell, zu tussihaft, zu lady-like, zu aggressiv, zu teuer, wirken billig, zu geschlossen, zu offen, zu wild, zu einfach...Und dann, plötzlich, völlig unerwartet, da sah ich sie. Diese Camilla Skovgaard Heels. Grau/ hautfarben, perfekt zu pink, elegant und ein Hauch von Aggressivität. Die Form, das Plateau und die Nieten - einfach perfekt. Ich war sofort verliebt. Zum hundertsten Mal erzählte ich Steffen, wie schwierig es ist, den passenden Schuh zu meinem pinken Kleid zu finden. Er sagte: 'Ich zeig' Dir mal welche, die ich gut dazu fände.' Und da waren sie, die Camilla Skovgaard Heels. Ich war baff.

Mixing something together that does not really match is risky, but gives me the kick! ;) I am so infected by the trend of mixing different patterns in one outfit. I was not sure and chose the harmless version today. Or can you imagine to combine some leo- or snake-printed leggings or shoes to this dress? ;) Maybe next time I'll be brave enough to do it...

Etwas zu kombinieren, das nicht wirklich zusammenpasst, ist riskant, aber gerade das gibt mir den Kick! ;) Ich bin so angetan von dem neuesten Trend, unterschiedliche Muster in einem Outfit zu kombinieren. Ich war mir nicht ganz sicher und entschied mich heute für die harmlose Variante. Oder könnt Ihr Euch zu diesem Kleid Leggings oder Schuhe im Leo- oder Schlangen-Look als Kombination vorstellen?;) Vielleicht bin ich das nächste Mal etwas mutiger...

Overknee

Life is too short for wearing boring outfits. These over the knee boots are definitely not boring and actually the most special ones I've ever seen. From the first view you will recognize that this special design must been created by Rick Owens. He is well-known for asymmetric cuts and dusky colors in his clothes collection. Same aspects he is putting in his shoe collection.  Rick Owens is very famous in the dark scene. Although wearing black and grey would make me sad in the length of time, some pieces look the best in timeless colors. 

Das Leben ist zu kurz um langweilige Outfits zu tragen. Diese Overknees sind definitiv nicht langweilig und wirklich die speziellsten, die ich je zuvor gesehen habe. Gleich auf den ersten Blick weiß man, dass diese Kreation nur vom Designer Rick Owens stammen kann. Er ist sehr bekannt für seine asymmetrischen Schnitte und düsteren Farben in seiner Kollektion. Dieselben Aspekte sind auch in seiner Schuhkollektion erkennbar. In der "Dark Szene" ist Rick Owens sehr berühmt. Obwohl mich die tristen Farben wie schwarz und grau auf Dauer traurig stimmen würden, sehen manche Stücke in dezenten Farben doch am besten aus.

Make-up

Going out without make up? Impossible for me. Maybe on holiday on the beach, but nowhere else. I don't know why but I really feel naked without mascara, concealer and blush. 

foundation:

Some years ago I used a cream foundation by Shiseido. It was perfect for my dry skin, had a really good covering power and the right skin tone for me. I've been using it for so many years, lucky to have it. Until it disappeared in all stores. I was so disappointed as it took me years to find the right one. If I just knew they gonna take it off the market, I would have bought hundreds of packages... Anyway.

 I'm now using MAC foundation and concealer and I'm satisfied (none will be able to replace the Shiseido foundation). 

blush / rouge:

I must admit that the MAC blush (peach) is not my favorite color, I think I have to go back to peach color by Yves Saint Laurent which is amazing.

lipstick:

The lipsticks by YSL are greasy and perfect for my dry lips, but actually I'm not a lipstick and lipliner user. I love lipstick on others but not on me. Mostly I just put some clear gloss on my lips. 

mascara:

Mascara is also a difficult thing. Most of them glue the eyelashes and drop off after few hours. Lancôme Hypnose mascara is the one I'm happy with at the moment. 

eyeshadow:

For the eyelids I'm using Artdeco - they have wonderful dull colors (I 'm not a big fan of the shiny ones). In the past I was using Manhatten eyeshadows which are also really good. 

eyeliner:

A must-have for my small eyes is a white eyeliner. Curled eyelashes and white eyeliner in the inner part of the eyes have an amazing effect - the eyes appear bigger and freshly. Chanel white eyeliner is so soft and creamy - it's the best I've ever had. The Artdeco one is not smoothy and intense enough for me (one of my mispurchases which have to be utilized)

 Still looking for the perfect black liquid eyeliner. I'm using Artdeco at the moment, not really satisfied with it as the black color is not sticking perfectly on the lids. Maybe you have a suggestion?

Ciao bella Italia!

Pizza, Pasta & Amore..... and many fashionable people. We spent some sunny days in Milan with my sweet friend Katjusha. She is working on a project for which she met the lovely Chiara. We were so fascinated by her personality. She is such a pleasant and so cute person. 

Most of the time in Milan we were walking around... I still feel pains in my feet and calves. But the pains were worth it. The Italians are so charming as if they know you since many years. I guess the pasta, the nice weather and the open people give me energy and make me happy. Just left Italy - already missing it...

Pizza, Pasta & Amore...und viele modische Menschen. Wir verbrachten ein paar sonnige Tage in Mailand mit meiner süßen Freundin Katjusha. Für ihr Projekt traf sie die wunderbare Chiara. Wir waren von ihrer Persönlichkeit sehr angetan. Sie ist solch eine angenehme und niedliche Person. 

Und wie das eben so ist mit Städtereisen: viel Laufen..ich habe noch immer Schmerzen in den Waden und Füßen. Aber die Schmerzen haben sich gelohnt. Die Italiener sind so charmant, als ob sie einen schon ewig kennen würden. Ich vermute mal die Pasta, das schöne Wetter und die offenen Menschen geben mir Energie und machen mich glücklich. Gerade erst zurück gekommen, schon vermisse ich Italien.
